This happened in a Chennai law college as recently as Nov 18 2008. Law college and this?.. well across India law colleges are notorious for such stuff but I guess this was too much considering the fact that a large horde of police men stood there, as mute spectators to the whole brutal saga where the law once again was proven to be an ASS...
Newspaper reports later said that some 7 "students" were arrested and the COPS-ACP Narayanamurthy and inspector Sekar Babu have been suspended while four Sub-Inspectors have been transferred out of Chennai, only to be bought back and reinstated soon .
Why the hell are we tolerating such barbarism if we are a civil society?

Its horrible......in campus they are beating a person and police is watching them silently....shame on Indian police.....Its really unbelievable.... terrified.
